Energy Saver FAQ

What is an "Inactivity period"?

Imagine, you set the schedule to switch off the smartphone at 10:00pm. Energy saver switches off your phone every day at 10:00pm.

But if one day your smartphone is switched off at 10:00pm during your call, you will be very disappointed. To avoid this Energy Saver waits for 20 minutes after the last keypress before switching off the smartphone.

Another example, if you need to switch on your phone at night to make a call you can forget to switch it off for the rest of the night, but Energy Saver can't. It will switch off your phone 20 minutes after you finish the call.

Why is the nearest switch off time shown at night but not at the next interval end?

If you switch on your phone at night, it will be switched off after specified inactivity period but not at the next interval end. Thus the phone will be switched off for the rest of the night. Therefore at night the "Nearest actions" menu item shows the real next switch off time which will happen 20 minutes later.

Note: your smartphone will be switched off at the end of today's interval if it is day now.
